Bishop Oliver T. McCray, Jr.

Born in Tarrytown, N.Y. and raised by the late Marie Webber McCray of Gastonia, N.C., Bishop McCray received the calling to preach the gospel in May of 1982. He was licensed and ordained under the Gaston County Missionary Baptist Association of Gastonia, North Carolina. Pastor McCray is the proud father of 2 lovely daughters Lauren Ariel and Jordan Danielle. He gives all praises to God for the anointing on his life and the gift of preaching, teaching and shepherding the Sheep that God has given him at the Remnant of Faith Christian Church. Bishop McCray has a passion for ministry and his charismatic style along with his scholarship of the Word makes him a very unique gift to the body of Christ. Bishop McCray is the Founder/Senior Pastor/Teacher of Remnant of Faith Christian Church Incorporated.

He matriculated through the halls of Winston-Salem State University, and received a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Public Administration. At Wake Forest University he earned Certification in Church Management and matriculated through The Gordon-Cornwell Theological Seminary. Bishop McCray is a byproduct of the Ambassador Cathedral Church, Winston-Salem, N.C. where Bishop F.D. Patterson is Presiding Prelate. He also recognizes Pastor Arthur Jackson III, Senior Pastor/Teacher of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Miami Gardens, FL as another one of his Spiritual Fathers in Ministry. Bishop McCray was consecrated under the leadership of Bishop Freddie Marshall of the Christ Cathedral Churches of Deliverance, in Winston-Salem, N.C. Pastor McCray received the vision for multiple Remnant of Faith churches in the year 2000 and has planted churches in Gastonia, N.C., Kings Mountain, N.C., Durham, N.C. and Tampa, FL.

Lady Tamera Denise McCray

A native of Spindale, N.C. and a 1980 Graduate of the N.C. Central University, Durham, N.C. with a B.A. in English/Journalism. Received her Master’s in Education from the National Louis University. Presently an Educator in the Hillsborough County School System of Florida and an Adjutant Professor of English at the University of Tampa, Florida.

Lady Tamera has a heart for young people and a powerful anointing for young adults. Lady Tamera’s passion and vision is to remain actively involved in her church, career and community as she walks in concert with her husband that she loves and cherishes. Lady Tamera serves as Chief Administrator of the Remnant of Faith Church Ministry and the O.T. McCray Ministries Incorporated. Lady Tamera is the mother of Ella Roberts who is a practicing attorney in the Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida area. Her mission statement is “Never give up on life and TRUST GOD in all your ways.”
